THE VOYAGE OUT follows professional hunting guide Marc Warnke, and renowned survival expert Callie Russell, as they lead Mansal Denton, a struggling tech entrepreneur, into the Rocky Mountains on an 8-day expedition for elk, the most elusive prey in the wilderness. The trials of the journey surface our trio's foremost wounds, revealing what has driven them into the wilderness. A true feat of 16mm filmmaking, the documentary explores humanity’s place in nature so profoundly that it feels like a voyage into the depths of one’s own mortal soul.

After losing his mother to alcohol and opioid addiction, filmmaker and hemp farmer, Jordan is left searching for answers. Frustrated by a medical system that seemed to fall short, he turns to a long stigmatized and misunderstood plant, wondering if it might have offered a different path. What begins as a personal search quickly evolves into something much larger. Setting out with a camera, he travels across the country, meeting farmers, scientists, doctors, builders, and entrepreneurs working to reintroduce hemp as a valuable resource for food, medicine, materials, and agriculture. Along the way, ONE PLANT reveals a complex and often overlooked story, one that challenges long held assumptions and explores how this single plant intersects with some of today’s most pressing issues, from climate change and health to sustainability and the systems that shape how we live. ONE PLANT is a story of loss and rediscovery, asking not just what this plant can do, but what it might mean if we continue to overlook it.

Lookout Mountain, which tops out at 2,388 feet of elevation, stands tall as the dominant landmark on Chattanooga’s skyline. It also stands out as the place where mountain biking took hold in this part of Tennessee—a key launch point from which the city began its decades-long efforts to shed the image of a dirty industrial town and moved toward a brighter, cleaner, more active future.
In “Mecca in the Making,” Chattanooga’s mountain biking history is explored alongside critical partnerships that formed between riders and local officials. The result is a modern, bustling outdoor town with more than 100 miles of singletrack near the city center.
